The class will cover the general theory and practical application that will be provided in the subjects of: implementation and use of

shampoo, understanding and application of chemicals, hair types, sanitation, hygiene, diseases and conditions of the skin, anatomy

and physiology, electricity, ethics, nail technology and skin care.

Chemical Application and Scalp Treatment 500 Hours

The class will be combined with instruction and practice in the areas of: chemical precautions, perms, color and hair lightening.

Haircuts / Hairstyles

475 hours

The class will cover hairstyles with instruction and practice in the areas of: cutting, thinning, shaping, trimming, applying electrical

and mechanical equipment, coiling, braiding, curls made with curling and flat irons.

Managing a business, health and interpersonal relationships. 200hours.

Instructions in the class will cover the areas of labor law, workers compensation, customer relations, filing, promotion and

merchandise, first aid, right to know laws. State and local laws and regulations, professional ethics in business, sanitation, electrical

implements, personal care and hygiene.

Skin Care 85 Hours

Facials, hair removal, and makeup.

Nail Technology 55 Hours

Manicures, pedicures, acrylic nails and gel.Electives 35 Hours

Product knowledge and practice in community services.
